SALUKILURCHER 0
i have just been reading the thread on bully looking terriers and thought id make a post, the local fag man over my way has a 1st cross bull russel bitch and its the most amazing bitch ive ever seen looks wise aint seen it work cos he wont let no one on his land, but it must be literally 12 inch tts (jrt body/frame) with a massive bully head and he says it does everything and it was well marked it goes to ground rats bushes he lined it with a gun trained cocker a couple of months ago and the demand for those pups off him was rediculus they were sold before the bitch dropped so obviously his dogs do the job they must for £250 a shot, will try and get a pic of the bull russel cocker pup he has kept back if he ll let me well any way i was just wondering does anyone on here work bull russels or no if they are any good. cheers Quote Link to post

kirstysdad 827
BUT IF THERE A 3/4 WILL THEY NOT LOOSE THE SIZE OF THE HEAD AND THE POWER OF THERE BITE/JAWmost definity but will gain in the nose department plenty of russels about with out big heads being dug week in week out i would be more concerned about the size of their heart bull blood should only be introduced to put drive and heart back in and not size and shape sometimes come up to big essepialy for tight earths got to remember what the dog is their for work not looks Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
BUT IF THERE A 3/4 WILL THEY NOT LOOSE THE SIZE OF THE HEAD AND THE POWER OF THERE BITE/JAW How big do you need the head, how much jaw power is needed for a fox?? Big headed terriers are usually head turners but underground, as long as it gets the job done, that's what matters! Some of the best fox killers underground I've seen have had quite snipey heads, it's a knack rather than power. I'm sure if your looking to keep big headed terriers 3/4 breds will produce with 'em and you stand a much better chance of 'em actually going to ground and 'FINDING' their quarry in the first place, sommat that is very often overlooked these days!!!
