its competition. she wants to beat the other dog to the game! i think only time and some age on her to teach her some patience will help. my older dog still pulls a little even now at 2.5 yrs!my younger dog doesn't though... :hmm:

I saw on the bird from Dog Borstal solve a dog pulling in about an 15 mins, although it will need reinforcing regularly. Hold the lead with a loop in your hand and start walking with the dog on your left, as soon as the dog starts trying to pull let go of the loop of lead, spin 180º clockwise around and walk the other way saying 'HEEL' just once as you turn. The dog will probably pay no attention at all until the lead suddenly snaps tight (your both momentarily heading in opposite directions) and drags him round and back to your left leg (collect your loop of lead again quickly). As he tries to walk past you again to start pulling, drop the loop saying 'HEEL' whilst turning 90º clockwise. just keep up the turns of varying length and angle until you pup/dog stops trying to predict were your going and has to follow you.

(Sorry it's harder to describe than watch on telly!) but it worked on Roo!

Take Care

This is something you should have sorted out when lead training your dog as a puppy. A choker lead might do the trick and as some of the guys have suggested heel training may also work. Just persevere...good luck!

shes grand on the lead on road walking but just on the lamp and worse with another dog their :icon_eek:

Try one of those short slip leads with the quick release button may give you more control over the pulling...another way that might work is if your lamping try walking along the fence line or hedgerow with the dog to the inside if he pulls just edge him to the fence so he cant get by you. As I said it takes perseverance, depends on how much of an inconvienience it is for you.
