chess 0
Oh well, hope Master Mackem squeezes out of it. Like i keep telling my Mrs theres nothing worse then being picked up by the fuzz Well its funny you should mention fishing because there i was at the local Chamber of commerce Ball on Saturday evening dressed like a penguin, when i got talking to an old boy who was bang into shooting and fishing. Turned out after half a dozen bottles of some little known Rioja that he was indeed a splendid chap whos father had been some bigwig in WAGBI at the time of its inception but tht he was also a fishing man. "Off to the Tweed next week" he belowed accross the hall, anyway to cut a long story short i have access to a stretch of water on the Wharf near Grassington so the old boy and myself are going to wet a line this week or when he returns from North of the border. Now he really IS a dry fly purist so im not sure what he will make of Mr Patels magic powder Quote Link to post
mackem 26,935
I fished on the Tweed once, long time ago when I was a kid, which beat is the old chap going to fish If he is as high-falutin as you say probably best not to mention tandoori nymphs old chap, some people just arent adaptable Grassington, bit far north for me,but I will be passing thataway in september when I cast a fly on a beat on the Wear,my old favourite As for getting picked up by the fuzz,I always shave, force of habit Quote Link to post
