Guest greengrass123
Goverment proposal to reintroduce dog licences to curb ownership of dangerous dogs ,being used as weapons. But does this go far enough , or is it just another money making scam.

Rabbithunter 456
it could be a good idea, but it would turn into a pocket liner. I would be willing to pay say £10 a year for a licence, if it stops dogs getting in wrong hands, but the goverment would probably FREE - None-low emission dogs £0-90 - Low-med emission £91-£150 Medium emission dogs £151-£210 med-high emission dogs £210+ High emission dogs :

hollands hope 1,024
just read on the dutch teletekst that the goverment is planning to lift the ban on keeping dogs of the pitbull type in holland, this law came in act in 1993 after some serious biting incidents ,however after 15 years of banning the breed their is no decline in the biting accidents and in most cases its not the bullbreeds who are responsible, the plan is however to test dogs who are showing aggression and when failed these tests, dogs will be pts in the current situation dogs with features of the pitbull type will be confisgated and pts, just to add amstaff and english staffishire bull terrier are allowed to to keep when proven that their FCI pedigree dogs Edited June 10, 2008 by hollands hope
