New locator

what did you use to remove the soil as i dont see any steps or ledges

 

As soon as I was getting a faceful of spoil coming back down, bucket on rope.

 

DogFox, it was the b&f collar, some friends are having good success with the ortovox also, but ive not used it yet myself.

 

Re battery time, on the locater boxes,,, Ive left the pieps box on in the van (transmit mode) for over a week a few times, no problems plenty of % left.

Ive left the collar on for 3-4 days (b&f) still working.

i lost my collar for two days, dropped out of my bag :wallbash: and when i returned it had hardly used any battery life :victory:

thanks for that shot mate ,thought that couldnt be right ,thought i,d wait and see what levs makes of it ,but the lads in europe seem to like ,em ,,,have you had a look at the new s1 looks shit hot ,but bit pricey :good:

Out today trialling my Ortovox , German thingy locator.

 

No probs at all.

 

Nice size and easy change battery and on off switch.

 

The gear is all the same frequency, so if you buy Ortovox, Barryvox or Pieps it doesn't matter.

 

They all have the same warranty, they all do the same job and it's how you get on with them that matters.

 

The way you attach the Ortovox locator to your collar is the only stumbling block for those of us with no imagination.

 

Like I said, tested today in a big spot and found the terrier easily.

 

Cost versus a B&F set, for my stuff about £50.

Can u give us the link mate? Surely not £50 for the total setup? Is that just for the collar/receiver?

hows the dog bred mate it looks exactly the same as my young bitch,got her off r.walker last year.

was the mother of ur bitch bred in ireland if so hows se goen

Off the point a bit............but

 

B & F set now £328.................. :icon_eek: f**k me never gonna be able to afford that!!!

 

Since when did the price go up?? (unless i can find some cash soon, might have to resort to a deben :thumbdown::thumbdown: )
