Guest Leveller Posted June 10, 2008 Report Share Posted June 10, 2008 The Backcountry Access Tracker DTS turned up today, it's a little bigger than I imagined but still smaller than the Deben. It feels sturdy and is definetly very well built it comes with a dvd on how to use it to but it does seem quite simple anyway. I've ordered the collar today from Germany so will put a picture of that up when it arrives and I'll try and get some practice in with it too before the season kicks off Quote Link to post

Guest Leveller Posted June 19, 2008 Report Share Posted June 19, 2008 The transmitter turned up today and all my fears have been laid to rest as you can see it's no size at all compared here to the mk3 Deben collar. I had a few concerns and gambled a bit when buying this kit as there isn't anybody using it over here that I know of. My first concern was that the switch on the outside could turn off when in use but there are two pins on the switch to prevent this happening you have to push the switch down and twist to turn it off so there's no need for taping it on like I thought I might have to. Then came the matter of fixing to a collar and the collar supplied with it is like a pouch but I'm not sure it's up to much The back of the transmitter does have a place for a small collar to slip through so once I source a suitable collar it will be ready to use and get some field testing done.
