MissPimperella 0
Finally! After waiting what seemed like an age I got my Adult Trio of Turkeys! yay! Their first 12 eggs are in my incubator now hehe and have 4 at the mo I have saved in case someone wants to buy some to incubate lol Fingers crossed I should have plenty available for Christmas lol My Stag, Bronze x Crollwitzer 2006 hatch. Not very nice natured and tried to have my eye the moment I put him down in his new house. Now got a black eye for my trouble. Think he may be 'Replaced' by one of the Poults. The 2 Hens (Bronze x Crollwitzer) 2007 hatched My 4 poults from Jill, breeder in Rochdale, Hatched wednesday last week. 2 Black and 2 Bronze. Then I saw an advert on the Turkey club of someone local selling slate blues which is what I have really wanted! The ones I want to keep as pets lol They are 2 weeks old and were hatched by their mum. got 2 slates, 1 lavender and 1 bronze carrying slate/lavender. Slate Blue Lavender Slate Blue Bronze? (out of Slate blue and Lavender Parents)

Tis TM 8
Lovely looking lot of birds there... My experience with 3 turkeys was a nightmare.... One got pulled through the wire run by mr fox, and had all its wing chewed off and part of its breast, one did get to the table but you'd have thought it had been on a diet!! ... and the other I eventually rehomed... I phoned the chap up a few months later to see how he was getting on with it... (it was a bronze stag) and apparently it sh*gged one of his geese to death! ... I dont think I'll bother with turkeys again but best of luck

I am so glad we have the space now, for many years we hadn't the space, then we had some space but not the right area. Now we have it and I'm taking full advantage of it believe me, I do have a small space for veg to go out. planted up quiet a lot to go with my birds for tea lol
