Scarpa 0
This wasp landed on the sandwich, bit off a fairly large circle of ham, carried it to the edge of the plate and then returned several times to cut it up and carry away the pieces. At one point it almost fell off the plate and I had to lend a finger so it could get the ham back over the edge.
dogs-n-natives 1,182
Seen them doing the same with meat several times myself! Rabbit carcasses etc.. Sure someone more knowledgable than me will expand, but i think they take it back to the nest for the grubs to eat. Good photo by the way!
Malt 379
Why did you photograph it? Twat it with a shoe, quick! Only joking mate, quite fascinating to watch if you let them go about their business.
