hi all can you help i have got 6 ferret kits they are 4 weeks old on thursday want to know when i can clean the bedding out just that my jill is very nervous dont want to do it too early cheers

i did mine after 3 weeks mate my kits are 4 weeks old aswell. my jill is still nervous i just let her out for a walk about and did it then.

They will probably appreciate the change in bedding after a month go fir it

i dont change the way i do anything when i have kit's same as i wouldnt change anything if i had a litter of pups your jills should trust you as much as your dog and should know that you aint a threat . well mine are fine with me in at the kits at a week old although i dont go about playing with them at that age i do check they are healthy etc .

if you have an extra nesting box in your setup then put clean bedding in that and 9 times out of 10 the jill will move all the kits into the fresh. then you can change the other

Should be fine to do it now and it will need doing with the jill taking food into the kitts and them craping there
