Would that be for the metal work and collars ?

Depends on your age I suppose, Selwyn...... I probably would!!

SS tells me his metal comes from the same supplyers for B&F (at least for the brass), put that to them nylon webbing collars he makes and your gonna get a few years out of 'em. Certainly gonna last at least as long as any leather collar couplings on the market today.

The "Lifetime Guarantee" covers my workmanship, of course things wear out over time, but I guarantee that my collars will never snap or fall apart.

The only exception I have to make is that I won't mcover them against chewing, but if you send me the bits back I'll make you more at a reduced price.

I can't see it would be a problem that if some of the brassware wears out unreasonably quickly then I can return it to them, they are an English Chainmaking company who were founded in 1870, I'd guess they would have the same standards as myself and would be keen to stand by their product, if not then I wouldn't be buying from them again!

The steel couples I use come from the same place, and the buckles are also steel that are Made In England, again I guess the plating will wear over time, look at all the photos of rusty couples you see on here for examples of that!

The only thing I'd suggest to keep everything as good as new, is that if you do get stuff wet, then a squirt of light oil or WD40 on the inside of the roller will prevent any rust, the rollers can only be coated on one side so the inside has been known to get a bit powdery, nothing serious, but it can be prevented.

Selwyn, if you've got B+F couples that the brassware has worn out on, have you sent them back to them? I know I would the prices they charge!!!

Thanks.

A.
