The hawk is silly tame even at top weight. he was paired to a very aggresive 3yr old female (which is why the theives probably left her). the area which he was stolen from is Kippax nr Leeds west yorkshire ..please phone Bri on 07796508924 with any info. He was informed that 2 Harris' were stolen from ponte and the wakefield area last month and these were recoverd(if we could only find out who stole em ).This guy lives for his birds, he is absolutley gutted,his breeding plans are now fecked. gsi2000stokie 5 Posted June 11, 2008 Report Share Posted June 11, 2008 i hate to say but this is the start of things to come, when defra de-register birds on october 1st it will open the flood gates on birds being stolen, starting with hybrid falcons and next onto merlins and peregrines and such like, the best way to try and counter this is to have your birds micro chipped and then maybe one day you will get it back. chris. yeah and dont we just know a few nests will be getting robbed. Guest MIST NET Posted June 25, 2008 Report Share Posted June 25, 2008 Well guys, Im pleased to say bri was reunited with his male hh last night , his father in law was fishing in selby (north yorks) and this place is a sanctuary for lost/injured bop.whilst talking to the owner it came about that 2 weeks ago bris hawk was found in a garden (reported as a lost eagle by the old lady who owned the property) and was then taken to the sanctury.the muppets who stole him must have tried to fly him ..many thanks to all who showed an interest.
