dickyboy 1
I've bought myself a remi 700 VL SS thumbhole(John Galway to blame for that piece of inspiration) and was going to stick a S+B vari scope on top, or scope of similar quality up to £700 ish The keeper and I are toying with getting an Archer nightvision setup but the Julian(the guy who makes them) reckons they work best on a Leupold scope or raptor(which seem too cheap) Are leupold as good as the other brand, S+B, Swarzki, Meopta? And if so which leupold is better? i was thinking VX111 or Mk4? It has to be paralax adjustable if you think leupold aren't up to the job can you suggest a variable scope with paralax adjust(prefably on the side) in the range of 3-20 power(not that exact span something like 6-20 or 4-16 or whatever) up to £700 and has to work well with Archer nightvision Thank you Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
I've a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14x50 on my .22lr at the moment I've not used it at night yet - too much work on. But, during the daytime the glass is really impressive to my eyes (own a Nightforce for comparison). The one small thing is the eye relief can be a little fussy but I can't find any fault with the scope at all. I like it a lot, it's here to stay irwilley on Ebay does some good deals on them. SNAP SHOT 194
i've got a leupold on my .243 and regularly use it in both dawn and dusk stalking, lamping at night target work, it's a 6.5x20x50 LRT/M1 Not cheap by all means, but quality speaks volumes. i'm shooting foxes at 400 yards and slightly over at night so it gets my vote..........What you waiting for.
