9 months ya say, like most of the above hold back, I'd personalyhold the dog back til Janurary time if ya get a dig with it hold it back til the next season but that's just me a terrier getting bullied too young will jib. IMO.

hold him off untill the autumn at least, let him watch and listen to another dog working, then let him have alittle look in, if you try him now he may bump into a vixen with cubs, can you guarantee to do the whole job with a novice, or he may bump into summut else and then the shit could hit the fan, but its your dog and your time youve put in,

my mate tried a dog at 12 months old a few months back mate it looked like he was going to go, game as feck and killed a cat that entered his garden killed it easy and had some sh*t off the neighbours but anyway the dog done well on the 1st go and 2nd but the 3rd and 4th it was no go held him back then till 18 months and still didnt like the teeth so the dog had to go, id say around the 18/20 month mark mate i knw i said september above but i was just fecking but personally id wait till 18/20 months mate, any pics of the dog? mother and father ?
