Guest friedrice
look in the edrd theres boys in there digging week in week out gm jp etc i doubt they would be using b&f if it was shite iv never heared a bad word about them they do take some time getting used to as they are so accurate and you have to take a bit of time to work it out my mate can use it as if he was born with it in his hand f****n show off lot s dig week in week out mate and not just the boys in edrd.and if you ask about a bit you may find that some of them boys you talk about have gone back to the debens after the b&f.the man behind edrd also uses a deben long range set up Quote Link to post

Guest Leveller
I spent last season using the 40ft long range Deben outfit I never gave it a really hard grilling but was using it week in week out I would sum it up as being better than the mk1 but still not as good as some of the other kit that's available. If money really is an issue and you're not going to do a hell of a lot then it will suffice however for a few extra quid your life could be made one hell of a lot easier and I think you'll always be wishing you had the better kit. This season I'm using the Ortovox collar with a BCA Tracker which has cost under £200 in total so far, watch this space for a review.... Quote Link to post

dogs-n-natives 1,182
I used a mk 1 deben for ten years, only let me down a few times, luckily it wasnt a disaster on either occaisions. 2 Years ago I bought a mk 3, and to be fair, it does work ok as long as its dry! I dont like the collar its too weak. Im definately saving for a b+f, my friends all have them, ive used them myself plenty, and I personaly think they are worth getting. Dont know shit about the other makes, but im also interested to hear about how they have faired with terrier work. All the best DnN Quote Link to post

Kye 77
Most of our diiging is done in settes that have pipes with water from 2"-8" deep of ice water, and the B&F is the only system i would use....if i couldnt use that system, i wouldnt be able to hunt them settes, the old Deben shite cant do...if/when i get a new collar, i will get the newer version that is a all-sealed unit, that you re-charge...although i have had NO problems with the standard collar. The only thing i hate is the fecking 'beeping'...it drives me up the wall! Kye.. Quote Link to post
