Tick Removal

You can smother vasaline on the ticks butts, they suffocate then drop off :) the only thing is it will take you ages and it wont sort out the seed ticks, and you will have to keep going at them

other than that you can pick the sods off with a tick picker from the vets, its costs about £3 and its 2 green hooks that get the buggers off including their heads, if you leave the heads in the ferret it gets infected

hope this helps

Use either frontline or a tick picker , smothering them shocks the tick to spew the contents back into the ferret & if its infected with Lyme disease then so is your ferret

i use a hot pair of tweasers. hold gently but firmly onto the tick and pull very gently, it burns the tick which makes it let go with its teeth and you pull it off kicking and sceaming. only use this if your ferrets are steady, so you don't burnm them with the tweasers.
