Woodga, just noticed the fenn traps at the back corner, just wanted to ask if you have coated them in something, and if so, what??

 

Just curious, as i havent ever painted anything on them before, and wondered if its worth doing

its a special black dipping paint very thin and gives a nice even covering to the traps no runs or bubbles helps keep the traps active a bit longer when trapping in the peaty moorland soils also weather proofs them leaving no smell as the paint is petrol based once the fumes dry off the smells gone moleys just got himself a full tin for his new traps dip the trap let the excess run off and dry two hoursand your ready to go

what would be the ideal dimensions for a snare peg ,woodga,s are 7"long 1"down to 1/4" and5/8" thick . do you use a different size snareman?
