not too sure what you mean with what you have written , i have no experience shooting fox but i dont think .22lr is a suitable caliber for killing fox unless it in at a close range sub 60 yards i'd think! , a more suitable gun would be a .223 or .22-250 but each to there own im sure there will be others who think differently

I only shoot a fox with my .22LR if I can achieve a good head shot at close range (50 yds or less). With good shot placement it does give a humane kill.

I also discussd this with my local Firearms Licensing Officer, and he agreed that it is acceptable to use .22LR for foxes at close range.

I'm going to differ from everyone, slightly.

The absolute best thing you can do is to buy ONE box of all the HV rounds you can find locally. Off you go then to your range/zero place and shoot them through your rifle. As I have said many times before you can have the power of a Scud missile, but if you have the shit accuracy of a Scud missile you won't worry Charlie one bit. Power means nothing if you can't hit the target.

Buy a few boxes and go testing

.22lr will kill a fox, but it's no foxing rifle IMO.

[bANNED TEXT] are the best High Velocity bullet to use for foxs

If you have only a 22 Lr rifle for hunting fox, then CCI velocitor will give you the best pentration and Remington yellow jacket can cause a reat tissue damage on fox . any other bullet can kill a fox if you hit them in the head. even a 22 short
