leegreen 2,210
I have a blow pipe quite accurate/powerfull you need pliers to get the darts out of wood. The down side of them is the noise, your target/quarry can move before the dart gets there. Great fun though, the one I've got .50 actually takes stink bombs and an array of different darts some really nasty looking.
mackem 27,525
Mr Green, sounds like your having fun with your gun The quarry has time to move because of the fairly slow speed of the dart, its only a few hundred FPS,same principle as an arrow from a bow, quarry past 15 yards or so has time to react if its already tense and aware something just isnt right, its called jumping the string in bowhunting parlance
Guest david1976
I read a book years and years ago i think it was called artisan hunter or something like that by brian plummer. There is a guy in this that hunts with a blow pipe. (cant remember if it tells you how to make it though)

mackem 27,525
Apply for your FAC mate, your better asking for one for a .50 cal desert-eagle because your going to get some odd looks when your FLO comes around and you tell him your thinking of buying a glorified pea-shooter
