Guest HARE
the only difference being, when a bull cross goes for some poor child or person, it does not stop at just a bite or 2, they crunch none stop!!!!! they can kill other dogs quicker in a kennel fight in most circumstances aswell. personally, i dont like the cross, but thats just me, each to their own. Guest rio
bullx do take alot of slack but i feel its all about how they are trained and who trains em.There is always goin to be goons who let their bullx run a muck around livestock and in turn every bullx owner gets tarnished with a bad name lurchers of any x will kill a sheep if not stock broken Quote Link to post
spep21 0
I've got 3 bullx's and find them easy to train, eager to please and always willing to give 100%. Have friends who have different x's and they are seemingly all gradually being converted to bullx's. Mine are all kennelled together and never get any agg even when feeding. Quote Link to post
Missie 1
I have no problems with bull x. I don't own one but I do know people that do and they are no worse than any other cross in the right hands. If you have a moron that can't be arsed to train their dog properly then the dog will suffer! I think Bull x get more flack because of the press surrounding all bull breeds. Again, as far as i'm concerned its mostly down to the owners rather than the dog. I know bull breed dogs that are the most loyal and friendly dogs you could wish to meet. They are more capable of killing a child or another dog but not all of them do, any dog is capable of inflicting injury and people forget that. The big bad bull's are more capable and people have the misconception due to a handful of bad experiences. Some of the people that own the dogs that have made the news shouldn't have been in charge of a flea, let alone a dog! The bad press that these dogs get really pisses me off, its about time something was done about the idiots that own them rather than the dogs! Quote Link to post
Malt 379
People have bad opinions because they get bought by people who know next to f*ck all about dog handling. Quote Link to post
slip 1
missie in a nut shell does where the words i was looking for its the type of people who have theses dogs standing on coners with the bling bling or what ever its called winding dogs up to make there owners feel big about them selves haveing them bark at people useing them for kennel fights an what not but i have yet to here of a bull cross lurcher atacking a child because the people who have this cross are just into their sport like all the other people on this site an i have never slated an other mans choice of working dog pig ignorance thats what it boils down to if people have something bad to say dont say anything at all. Guest merlin
they get so much flak because you get mis-informed people like hare tarring every dog,of the same breeding, with the same brush on public forums. Quote Link to post

Guest HARE
people like hare tarring every dog, im sorry if it seems that way merlin, but im just giving my experince on them. i had a bull x greyhound a while back, raised it from a pup with my kids, he was great wee dog, came from very good foxing lines ect ect. one evening, 7 years ago, my nepfhew called round to have a game of footy with my son. they were having the craic ect, the bull x was in the garden with them. my nephew started clapping his hands, the dog ran up to him and nearly took his arm off, it took 3 of us grown men ( work mates) to get the dog off. the poor lad had to have the arm cut off, due to it being badly crushed to bits, i will never forget it. i had the dog put down. the dog, was the most freindliest dog going ect, never ever again...
