ferret training

hi people i have my ferrets now got two great silvers, but now its time to train them or is it ther almost 9 week old and i want to get them training for rabbiting soon as so whats the best way to get them started anyone with tips and info please write back

it isnt much training, just let their instinks go. i usualy start younge ferrets out in small burrows and work their way up to big ones.

or i let them have a bite of a rabbit just to see if they will want to get them.

i am verry sure you will ghave alkot better ansers than mine.

I usually put some pipes in the garden and let the kids play with the kitts during the summer and ive never had any bother with kitts lurking at the mouth of burrows , then i try them with a old ferret to ground in burrows for a bit and after i try them by themselves i check the burrow with a older ferret to see the youngsters not missed anything

thanks for the info when is the best time to take them out. they are 8 week old now?

Normally start mine on 30 press ups and some circuit training. No mate it all comes natural.

About september if you mean if you mean hunting or when you thing there mature enough ,but for playing in pipes in the garden you can start now 10 minutes and build it up as they get used to it

The only training involved is getting them used to you, everything else is as nature intended P1.

id go with that ,stinkers with instinks is all you need.
