RIP larsen, rest in pieces!

Recommended Posts

After having great success with the first larsen i made, i was straight on with the next. For no other reason than the heck of it, i decided to plain, sand and router the timber of the second trap. This ended up being a quite ornate trap and equally as successfull as the first. They were set on "TIS TM's" small hold and accounted for several Crows, Jacks and maggies. A friend of TM asked for the use of a trap and maggie for a while to help sort her maggie problems, i was only to happy to go to her farm and set the trap in her yard. After seeing a middle aged coupple walking out of her yard for no apparent reason, this friend went up to check the trap. The maggie had been let out and the trap smashed beyond recognition!! cant understand some people at all!!

The farm now has one extra maggie it did not need and i need to make another trap.

:censored: Ok. They want to play? Get ANY Larsen ye can in that yard, swift. Then keep an eye out for these jokers. I used to work under PACE. Here's something worth knowing about that situation:

If ye SEE them attack the trap? F*cking get out there and ARREST them! They're committing the offence of CRIMINAL DAMAGE and, for that, ye can take 'em yeself. Civil Arrest is permissible for certain offences, including Criminal Damage, Theft and Arson. Once informed they're under arrest and why, if they Resist Arrest, then ye may take Reasonable steps to prevent that. Gripping the right arm from behind, above the elbow if the usual starter. Indicates to Mr R. Sole that ye mean't what ye just said and aren't going to stand there like a cod fish while he steams off down the road. Also sets ye up to have that f*cker in an Arm Lock and looking rather silly the moment his Own response tries to escalate to the really silly.

Obviously, treat each case on it's presentations. Do they live local and are on foot? If they walk off; Simply follow them home, phoning the Police as ye go and explaining ye have Arrested detainees making a get away. If they have a motor? Can ye block them in?

Bottom line is; Why The F*ck let these Criminals get away with it??? They entered private property and did Criminal Damage, ffs! You try walking into some place and smashing things up and see what happens.

Make another trap, sure. Quick as ye can. Only make that one the Real bait and get yeself a bonus catch. B*stards!

there was an article in shooting times recently about a copper that released a magpie from a larsen, he was hauled over the coals..........and rightly so !!!!!!!!..........his excuse was " he thought they where illegal"............tosser!!!!

bloody do gooders...........do my head in!!!!

how would they react if we went round to their houses and let their budgie/dog/cat/etc.....out !!!

think we all know the answer!!!!

boils my p155 !!!!!!!!!!

I was stunned, no more so than my friend with the magpie problem! The trap hadn't even been out for 24 hours!!The "do gooders" also let out the two that were caught and about to be picked up by myself to distribute among friends for call birds.

Such a shame to see a beautifully made trap smashed to bits, and such a shame that the retards that did it have never seen magpies peck the eye's out of cast sheep, pick fledgling song birds out of the sky, raid eggs from nests ... I need not go on!

Another trap will be there pronto :good:

It defies belief, some people have no respect for property whatsoever.

I have had people here trying to cut my release pens to pieces, bloody shame I was out lamping at the time.

Saw them, how many etc, on the phone to the rozzers. Told them to keep sirens off, and Id meet them and take them to the spot.

I did, and they encircled them arrested all of them for criminal damage and aggravated trespass.

Oh Yes!, I was in a good mood, beaming from ear to ear all night at the chance to get some revenge!

Sucks to them I think! Dull B*****ds.

Gutted to hear about the Larsen though, as said, get another one out there and get either yourself or a concealed CCTV camera there. It looks above, like they have put a boot to it and smashed it that way.

Regards

Feck me, thats unbelievable :censored: , I have made these traps and know how much it takes in time and effort. If I was near you I would help you make a newone.

Hope you catch them at it and prosecute them for criminal damage :boxing::boxing: .

Well, I've caught another 3 maggies today, and rehomed two in friends traps, and when Bigbulls has made another couple of larsens, we'll get em out on the friends place again.... All the dime bars have done is made us more determined :victory:

Buy a shotgun and blast the b*****ds!

Er...don't. Much as you might feel like revenge, the law is on your side...so far.

Sorry to hear about the trap, like already said, catch them/see them/video them, whatever, then get the law in and prosecute. No holds barred, teach the silly unknowing idiots that we have rights as well as the 'hard done by magpies'.

Go for it, but legally.

Good luck.

I agree with most of the others, but to be honest, Larsens are a difficult problem. I always try to site mine out of sight no pun intended. They do offend quite a few people. People are fed Disney and other shit all their lives, where all the animals live happily together in farthing wood, and the the evil poacher type is their enemy.

It's a matter of, "they haven't a fuc*ing clue". A good verbal assualt usually works for me. We all share the countryside, yet have different interests. A lot of people are clueless, and harmless, but some need educating, and I've seen a few. Try to see it from their point too, yet stick to your guns. Good luck mate ian.
