john hubery 9
The big box in my pickup was a mark1 to see what pit falls there would be to making a large dog box to fit pick ups, it not that good really, have made a few since, one for a hawk lad who wanted one side for his pointer and theother for his bird, one that was much the same as the one pictured but with split leavels so the boxes where double decker to get terriers in, and I starting one this week for a lad who shoots and has a couple of cockers he wants drawers in the bottom for his guns and bits and pieces, the quoat he had from a company in yorkshire to make the box to fit inside his canopy was for £1500, now the job is very labour intensive it will keep me and young micky tied up most of the week but it sure will not cost any £1550 Killemal give me some sizes to work of and I will see what I can do for you

Moorland Keeper 0
What do you think of this one? This was my first creation to fit my Fourtrak, light timber frame and ply, totally sealed with Unibond PVA then fibreglassed with mat and resin all over, its totally waterproof and easy to wash down. It fits my 2 spaniels and 1 Patterdale with ease and has a built in cleaning kit, vials for my chokes and plenty of room for my dog first aid kit and whatever else. The doors are custom made in steel and powder coated black, people say it looks like a Lintran, but its all my own design and work - Honest! No I'm not taking any orders lol, it took me bloody long enough to do the fibreglass work alone. Edited June 5, 2008 by Moorland Keeper
john hubery 9
now that is very nice, and like you say a lot of work, when its for yourself it not a problem but when some one has to pay for your time its a none starter, there would always be one or two folk but one or two will not pay the rent or get the kids knew shoes though like I said a very nice jod indeed
Moorland Keeper 0
Thanks for the compliment John, yes your right a lot of work but as you say, you dont mind when its for yourself and that resin is magical stuff, makes you feel all funny when you get exposed to the fumes for too long  I even thought about putting under floor heating in it at one stage  I dont think I'd ever contemplate making another one thats for sure and I'm pretty certain that this will outlive me.
