fergie 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 my jill exacly the same one day she was furry and light the next she was much darker and i thaght it was a different ferret altogether wit ha thin tale she didn't go this dark last year though thanlks for the replys i'm not worried as see seems fine eating and full of energy just wandering realy Quote Link to post

Kay 3,709 Posted June 3, 2008 Report Share Posted June 3, 2008 They do tend to go darker when they get there lighter summer coats , i suppose its like a camouflage thing where animals coats get lighter in the winter months so they can hide in the snow Aslo as para pointed out the loosing weights pretty normal as well when they moult out the heavey winter coats Quote Link to post

My silver could have been mistaken for a DEW a few weeks ago and now her fur is has got quite dark tipped. They also look really sleek in comparison to what they did.
