gnasher16 30,490
where there many Dogo Argentino's,Fila Brasiliano's or Tosa's in the UK? Feel free to delete if you think its a "dodgy" question/ Remember seeing a pic in an old ed reid mag back around 91,what was described as the " only " tosa in the country.....so there was at least 1.......dont know about the other breeds mentioned, not sure anyone would have known what they was back then. Guest ocs1867
I recall my mum telling me she saw this great big mastiff type dog once on TV and it turned out to be a Tosa well according to the local press anyway lol.

Guest ocs1867
So they judged the Dogo and Fila without any examples of the breed in the country FFS! Edited June 2, 2008 by ocs1867

Cheers for that pal. I think if there were any Filas or Dogo's in this country the police would not be clued up enough to spot them anyway.

dogman89 0
them 3 breeds of dogs were just added to the list so that it didnt look like they were discriminating against 1 breed
Simoman 110
I can guarentee that the government didn't care if it was discriminating against just one breed but the banned breeds were chosen under guidance from god knows who and the chosen breeds were either not yet in this country or had a small minority of supporters with no Kennel club backing...............To ban a KC recognised breed with thousands of owners/breeders and pups being registered each year would have been much harder......... paddy.t 5
its not the breed of dog its the owner, a mate has or should i say did have a pitbull soft as sh*t all depends on how the dog is raised Paddy
