BlueCoyote 0
i found a cricket on my dining table a moment ago.... of all places.... i have quite a tall dining table (pub table its called, great if you have a short complex lol) well.... being that its so tall... how the heck did that bug get up there and why? and whats this crap about them being good luck? when i saw it there two thoughts went through my head... "how the hell... and are there MORE??" crickets are great outdoors. love to hear them. but i can get down right murderous when one is in my house chirping away..... its almost as bad as a leaky tap... HOW can it be lucky to have one of those noisy little f*ckers in the house???

Ballybricken 1
Similar colour to this one? We've had a few of these escape, this one was found in the sink 10 mins ago. Never seen them with wings, but ive seen the fat black ones ( noisy b*****ds) with wings if we've kept them for a while.
Simoman 110
I had a box damaged containing 3,000 brown crickets last week, catching them was fun but I didn't feel lucky............
BlueCoyote 0
i'm not in the habit of stamping on crickets as long as they are out doors. they're great background music. one of the reasons i like living where i live, but once it enters my house and i find it..... i guess it depends on my mood. this one was lucky today. and yes and no... it was a lighter colour than that one, Bally but it was a lighter colour, longer in body and it fluttered out of my hand as i threw it. wasnt a grass hopper though. that was for sure. i know the difference. i wish i had taken a pic of it now.... there was one in the sink last year, had the longest legs i'd ever seen on a cricket.... looked like it belonged in one of those caves way underground. truly and odd little bug. i did get a picture of it but cant find it right now. i have known people that kept crickets for fishing, or to feed to what ever weird exotic pet they might own.... but not me... i'll either dig worms or use bacon for fish bait lol hasnt failed me yet. and i've never caught anything when using a cricket on a hook! not much luck at all so i still dont understand how anyone might have that opinion! Simoman.. i would have bug bombed my house if that happened to me!! did you catch them all?
