pegandgun 52 Posted January 14, 2006 Report Share Posted January 14, 2006 yes i have.My six year old jack bitch had a litter of seven pups.They where about 3/4 weeks old and our las went out to check them just before tea time.My bitch fell out of her bed and flopped onto the floor.She went stiff in her legs and shook like hell.We thought shed had a fit or something .Straight to the vets.One big calcium jab,ten minutes and she was fine. One of my bitches had to have two large calcium jabs and be cooled down in a cold bath, her temperature was 109 ... First time i seen it i thought it was a fit too, jaw kept clapping and there was blood everywhere as she kept biting her tounge... never want to see it again ill say that much lol ant Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Guest ratty Posted January 29, 2007 Report Share Posted January 29, 2007 Had it happen about 10yr ago with a jack russel it happened when the pup's where 3 day's old.The vet was called out to jab the bitch which recovered very quick.. But the 4 pup's had to be bottle fed afterward's..it was a fecking nightmare getting up every 3 to 4 hour's.. Millet. i had the same problem i give the bitch a 1ml of synulox it wont hurt the pups the bitch was fine good luck Quote Link to post Share on other sites
