HI

set of early this morning 6.00am about 20 minutes to one of me permissions oxford shire.

well on me way lovely morning turned of the a420 only 2 miles now so I'm driving down and i see some thing in the road .

so i pulled over and it was a pheasant still warm couldn't of been hit long so in the bag that will do for me mates birds of prey .

when i pulled up at the gate to the field i thought fxxk me the grass was waist high, the nettles were also.

so set of to me hide as i got nearer to it the grass was shorter. so I'm in me hide all set up waited about an hour

then it presented it self right on the edge of the nettles didn't have a clear shot so waited{ FOOKING NETTLES } about 10 minutes later it moved out of cover and into my cross hairs THWACK over it goes .

20 minutes later and nothing the nettles are obstructing my view of the other warrens, did plan on a sniper day today brought a chair and coffee so had to get out and stalk the next 2 .

so i crouched about 10 yards to the nettles just lay there for a bit slowly brought my head up and i could see ears about 25 yards away in the grass bare in mind some of this grass is 4 to 8 inches long so waited for a clear shot then there it was THWACK its down.

then out of the corner of my eye i see some more ears move just after the shot so focused on that area 10 Min's later there it is took aim TWHACK its over for it.

so picked em up and went back to me hide, then i decided to skin one and use the pelt fill it with grass and take it out to a clear area {with out no fooking nettles in the way} i took a y piece twig and stuck it under its chin to hold its head up and puffed it up it looked good .

so went back to me hide waited, waited then the young all started to come out some well young. so thought of me mate who has ferrets and started to pick em of , 1 2 3 in as many shots. then the land owner was about so i went over to say hello and that .

and he asked if the nettles were in the way of me shooting the bunnies i said YES and he kindly lent me his petrol strimmer so placed my self out side the hide and drew a mental picture of what would be suitable for me didn't want to take em all away as ,as much a hindrance the were help .

the ones at about 40 yards away so sculptured them to my view .when finished didn't stay any longer thought the bunnies were traumatised enough what with me turning up shooting the adults and the young then taking all there cover away so here is a pic
