Pheasant Plucker 0
Well . . . I took the plunge and went to see my local gundealer and incredibly he had an HW97K in stock. I bought it there and then together with a BSA Essencial 3-9x40 scope (recommended by the dealer) and some RWS Superdome pellets. When I got it home and zeroed the scope initially to 15 yards (thats all my back garden will safely allow) and within 20 minutes had consistent 1" groups - not bad I thought for a novice. Delighted so far - can't wait to zero it at 35-40 yards and see how well it (and I) will perform. Quote Link to post

Ron Weasley 83
How are you getting on with HW97K? I love Weihrauch. I use an HW95k myself, and after owning a Weihrauch I'd never ever use another springer. I found the 97 a bit heavy when I tried one, thats why I went for the 95, but if it works for you, thats all that matters! All the best with it, happy shooting!! Quote Link to post
Malt 379
Nice one, you wont go far wrong with any of the Weihrauchs. One of the positives of them being heaver, is that it cuts down the recoil on a springer. That scope will be more than enough for hunting at 12ft/lbs ranges, good luck! Quote Link to post
Pheasant Plucker 0
Bugger me - I can't even get the scope spec correct! Its not a 3-9 x 40 its a BSA Essencial 3-9 x 50. Sorry guys ... misled you there. Gotta pay more attention!!! Quote Link to post
