Muntjac Man 0
Many years of using air rifles taught me one of the 2 most valuable aspects of rifle shooting I have ever learned - fieldcraft - i.e. how to consistently get very close to the quarry without it really being aware of my presence. The other one is how to shoot consistently accurately at all ranges within the rifle's killing range. I.e. shooting technique, knowledge of rifle's trajectory characteristic etc. I can honestly say that I am very glad I spent several years shooting air rifles before moving up to FAC. bagforthebadgers 0
Well thanks for all the helpful input! Im shooting at 30 yards at the moment So I guess the next step is to go out abit further. mate, heres a small bit of advice. As other people have stated take your time learn stuff about rifle shooting and other aspects. Also when you say your shooting at 30 yards and want to move up to longer range, don't keep it at 30yrds and practice get used to stalking your quarry learn what they're like. This is what every one will say SLOW DOWN! you have plenty plenty years to SLOWLY move into FAC. regards BFTB Quote Link to post
grayswood 0
Took me 26 years of Air Rifle shooting, (plus the odd SA80, HKG36, MP5 and Sig 7.62mm) before I eventually progressed onto a FAC last month. There's no substitute for learning how to consistently stalk seriously switched on bunnys down to 30 metres for a clean kill. Quote Link to post
