Dog food ???

I can't believe your being told to keep a pup fat. Keep it healthy.

And it's fine to take a pup away after 5 weeks especially if it's going to get plenty of human contact.

And at that age meat is fine if it's the right sort of meat. I cut tripe up fine for pups from 5 weeks on, minced would be better.

Remember when changing any dogs diet young or old, do it gradually.

A fat pup can be a sign of a wormy pup.

My pups from an early age (soon as they'll eat meat) get good qual puppy biscuits soaked in milk or water, lamb/goat/beef/chicken mince and meat on the bone (roo/goat/lamb) they'll suck on it and gnaw on it especially when their teeth come through.

Keep up with the worming and plenty of tucker for the next few months.

Good luck with her.

Good luck with your pup, take good care of her - the effort you put in now will show in the future. And well done the members who have given good encouraging advice to this lad, who is obviously young and will appreciate the help and encourgement.
