Hell ye my dad runs a fishing business in aberaeron and the fisher man has caught bass and is now starting on the mackeral and his mate caught 1 and a half tone of bass in one net the other day

Get your old man to tell his mate to leave some of the Bass in the sea for us & stop being greedy! :big_boss: You can make a decent living catching Bass on the line. I've got nothing against hard working folk making themselves a decent living, but some of the boys round here are driving round in brand new BMW M3's off the back of the Bass. It wont last if they keep it up.......

Well said mate, lived around St Davids and up to cardigan and found the last 2 hours before high tide are best for the mackeral off the shore.I live by the north sea now and what a muddy crap filled bit of few fish water this is,nothing like the grand clean fish filled waters of the west coast.Oh yea the mackeral should be well in by now, smoothhound, bass, good conger, thornback even the odd turbot should be being landed by now in pembrokeshire this time of year.
