john hubery 9 Posted May 29, 2008 Report Share Posted May 29, 2008 I shoot a lot of magpies with dead rabbits for bait, but I also shoot a lot on our Industrial Estate where my units is, for these I use pies and mcdonalds cartons because that is what they feed off in the week, and find if you chuck half a pie on top of a skip it soon as a magpie perched on the edge of it, I think the story is use what they feed on in the area, but like was said dead rabbits with the guts showing works any where Quote Link to post

kirstysdad 827 Posted June 8, 2008 Report Share Posted June 8, 2008 one of the best things i have seen is a dead fox proped up like it is just sitting there they will start of by mobbing it conceal yourself in close cover they normallythen settle in the cover still alarmed and can then offer some good shoots also works well with crows dead fox easy enough to find as roadkill if you dont hunt them Quote Link to post
