Coney 3
It's a lot of money to shell out mate?? and will it make your gun perform any better, don't get me wrong I think it looks well on certain types of gun but when you have a quality piece of kit ( as you clearly have ) with a nice beech/walnut stock I think it's a shame to cover it up ( but that's only my opinion and as the missus tell's me it counts for feck all ) but if you have got your heart set on it mate go for it!! if you do let's see some pic's. Regards Coney. Quote Link to post
woodchip 2
this is exacly why i posted it because im in two minds over it as i could buy a nv kit for a bit more money and your right its not going to improve the way the gun preforms . Quote Link to post
maty j 6
i was looking at it a few years ago when the price was much cheaper, yes it does look nice but isnt too everyones tatse so that could affect the re-sale value. personally i'd choose the NV or another rifle for the price there chargeing now!! Guest bigredbusa
the only spray is to activate it i believe which is done in the dip tank . Quote Link to post
PESCA 7
the only spray is to activate it i believe which is done in the dip tank . I believe you're right, BIGREDBUSA. The gun is taped off to cover any bits that you don't want doing, such as a logo, name of gun, detailing etc., and then coated with an activator or etch. The chosen colour of film is placed onto the tank, and the gun lowered through it, I think. Believe it to be non-reversible. It's my Steyr on that camo post, though it was done when I bought the gun. As said, down to personal taste. I personally love mine, and I have to say, that until you've seen one done, in the flesh so to speak, you can't really appreciate the quality. Mine is a Hydrographics dip. The action, stock, scope and mounts, moderator, etc., are all done. When the moderator screws off and then back on, it's great to see that the pattern lines up perfectly.
