Bobby B,

Having just been through the 'researching .22 LR rifles to death' phase of my life, prior to buying one, I went for the CZ452 Silhouette 16". I'm really chuffed with it....I steered clear of the 10/22 after several people did mention to me they can have a habit of jamming just at the critical moment.

So the CZ 452 bolt action gets my vote - for what it's worth!

i had a ruger 10/22 before and to be honest it wasnt a great rifle but thats my opinion. i now use a .22 CZ BRNO 452 zkm and its a much better rifle.iv never had a problem with it. with the ruger after goin through a hard days shooting it tended to jam and i always thought it wasnt very accurate but maybe that was the amunition. id stay well clear of them and stick to the reliable CZ,

just a few i got today

Hi,

I'm adding my weight to the CZ camp, Mines the Style, nickle plated edition, with a long barrel. Add a SAK moderator, and you have a seriously good, reliable, fun tool. Just about my favourite ever gun. It is permanently in my Landie if I am.

Viva La CZ :victory:

I have a CZ and a Ruger 10/22. There is nothing whatever wrong with the 10/22, but for rabbits the CZ is more accurate and probably more reliable.

Ruger 10/22s are reliable - you have to keep them clean. And by clean I mean you strip it every box and get all the crap out, put it back together and lubricate it all well - and then it'll cycle your next box without any grief at all. Would I be happy with one in the field? You bet.
