Guest Corkonian
That's a great advert for them - we can take it so that if anyone with their kit wants to buy a new collar they must get the receiver as well These people seem like a bunch of cowboys - doesn't inspire confidence. They give a price on their site for the collar seperate and do say that all parts are available seperately: we can take it that this is not true so. I said before get on to Trading Standards straight away: http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/ or try: http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/ I've printed their website in case they change it if you need it for evidence. You'd have to wonder with this messing about are they going to honour warranties etc.??????????? They're obviously reading this forum so how about a statment from them? Quote Link to post
Beck 17
i think uve got it wrong once uve bought the kit u will av serial no if u need anything just quote no +parts or extras can b obtained the fella who ad this collar designed put a hell of a lot of money down +took a big gamble its a pity a company the size of deben didnt bring out something tidy instead of the shit theyve put on market but thats another story Quote Link to post
Guest Dillon
J at B and F is a decent fella and like most have said gambled a lot to make this work, he has brought on the market a bit of kit that is streets ahead of any of the other stuff, its a shame not to support him I still think the cost of a full set is peanuts compared to what it offers. burnie69 376
All i say on this matter is this its a pity you can't try before you buy because i'm sure alot of people would change from deban to bellman and flint. If anyone is considering buying 1 give him a call to see if the new piep's box he's bringing out has turned up.Its made by the firm for bellman and flint just a couple of minor ajustments thats all Quote Link to post

Guest baldie
I heard tell of a dog yesterday, that was lost when it had a deben mk3 collar on, so another dog was fitted with a b+f, and found the lost dog immediatly.I dont keep and work terriers, if i did, it would wear a b+f, from what i,ve seen of it, and what friends say, its the last word in tackle, i,ve seen the deben mk2 and attempted to dig to it, its shite, and apparently, the mk3 is not much better. Its like an old biker used to say to me, " if you have a £20 quid head, buy a £20 quid helmet, if youre serious about staying alive, spend £200 on one" Quote Link to post
shaun v 3
just a thought, why not get them to advertise on here and try to offer members a discount Quote Link to post

Good on B&F for doing the job they done... f****n WELL DONE bet the guy that runs B&F is not short of a few bob either... I guess some boys on here are though, and saving a couple of quid does help.... last I'm saying on it... Quote Link to post

Nipper 0
Simple business economics to me, you work hard to earn your dosh and you want to keep hold of it. So you buy the same kit and save £50+, now that is the real world. Quote Link to post
Beck 17
id rather pay £50+ more av a quarantee + piece of mind that any probs this man has assured me he is a phone call away to assist inany way he can just give him serial no + he knows who u r to help! Quote Link to post

Because I for one have had it hearing your whining constantly regarding this subject...... Well f**k off and don't be reading the threads on this subject so I've seen no one whinge on here about the B&F. I for one have never said a word against the collar/box in operation for the simple reason that I'd never used one til yesterday: - One of the lads had Deben Mk1 which I gave him years ago - actually a ferret collar I used to have for years before that - he has it taped to a dog collar. First dig went fine - know the burrow well - 2' bang on with collar, sank bar straight in - pudding. - 2nd burrow was new to us and there was a lad I rarely dig with but he has the B&F - this was reading .3 at the lowest - so we just started digging straight - We were actually about a foot off! Ground was flat. He said it's not as accurate as the Deben when you're close?!?!? Surely the further you are away the greater the error will become? There was <1' of earth above the animal. I still plan on getting the B&F and will probably buy the full kit from them. Why is there such a premium on hunting gear?????? Videos, DVD's, Books etc. are savage prices. We were a foot off to one side not in depth. Quote Link to post
