Just wondered if anyone had any news / up date ( or rumors ) regarding Litts of newport,-- S*it i,m missing them already Any ideas on where to get cartridges at a decent price??

Think they are down the pan to the tune of many millions owed both in the UK and abroad. I feel very sorry for the people who left very expensive guns with them for servicing etc - doubt if they will ever see them again

Neither of you are correct I'm afraid.

Nobody from the Litts staff is in Jail or even anywhere close. Neither are they in debt for many millions, it is a substantial figure but nowhere near the amounts people are making up.

Everyone who has a gun with Litts for repair will have it returned as it is not Litts' property. They will all have a receipt for their guns which were deposited and they will have them back.

According to press reports, the Official Receivers are working hard to relate guns to owners so that they do not lose out.

 

The Receivers, Deloitte & Touche - here is a quote from Shooting Times:

We may or may not ever know the real figure but £15 Million does sound incredible! (even though they have a load of my money)

 

Lets just assume they lost £10,000 per working day (which would be incredibly difficult) that's £60K a week or £3 Million a year...so they would have to do this non stop for 5 years to rake up £15 Million!!

As a matter of interest I have heard nothing back from the administrators yet!

I also know quite a few. The debt as it sits is vast I agree, but the majority is tied up in stock. Once the new stock is returned to the owners the debt is substantially reduced. As you know, this includes, guns, cartridges, chokes, clothes, etc,etc,etc.

 

As I said in the above posts, they are not in debt for many millions, and £15m is not true either.

 

I cant say anymore than this.

SS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT A COMPANY THAT HAS ,I READ IN THE PAPER A ANUAL TURN OVER OF 12 MILLION

MY PERSONAL OPINION BACKED BY STAFF THAT ACTUALLY NEW WHAT WAS GOING ON .BY STOCK GOING OUT REALLY QUICKLY AND NOTHING BEING ORDERED BACK IN ,RATS DESERTING A SINKING SHIP .

I DONT THINK THE TRUE AMOUNT WILL BE DISCLOSED .BUT I BET YOU FELLA THAT IT WILL NOT BE THOUSANDS BUT MILLIONS

AND THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE STILL VERY FECKED OFF ,MYSELF INCLUDED .

WE WILL BE LUCKY TO SEE ANYTHING BACK FROM THEM

A REALLY BAD SITUATION ALL ROUND .WE HAVE TO TRAVEL FURTHER A FIELD NOW TO GET AMMO ETC

I think you are missing my point T3, if you read my last post it says many millions. I am P****d off, not only by the fact that we will have to travel further for a decent range of guns but I have a gun with them for servicing. I have my receipt slip, I have spoken to the administrators and they have told me it will be returned to me when the marking up is complete.

Interesting to hear all the differing thoughts on this post, many varying opinions on the cash owed and reasons for this failure, i hope that all you guys that are awaiting refunds, or return of any piece of kit are sorted out PDQ..
