Neal 1,857
I've always used the traditional route of initial jabs followed by annual boosters, however one of mine is up for his booster this week so I took the time (a very long time) to read the information put up by Ditch and as a result I will no longer be going the booster route. It's a very long and tiring read but if you keep with it it's worth it.

Neal 1,857
While researching this topic today I also ended up with this article about the suitability of vaccines for leptospirosis. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/k9health/wwwchc...0Nov%202006.pdf I hope I've typed that out correctly. gnipper 6,427
Mine had their pup jabs and their first booster. My terrier is ten now and I think bugs are scared of catching something off him
DDD 4
Surely a vet has the right not to treat an unvaccinated dog? I know a lot never would, just a worst case sort of idea. For instance (I'll relate this to cars) a lot of garages are now saying that they will not test your car (diesel) if there is no record of a timing belt change. This is due to the high revving emissions test - if belt or tensioner fails then garage has to pay for repairs. Would it not be a similar case if your dog was unvaccinated??? Say they got parvo, then you took them to the vet after years of ignoring the cards you get through the doors & then asked the vet to fix your pet. Playing devils advocate here, not trying to annoy anyone. Just putting a thought in.
