BSAScorpionT10 0
What do you prefer? The good old Springers or Pre-Charged? Which is the best way to go? Edited May 26, 2008 by BSAScorpionT10 Quote Link to post
ChrisJones 7,975
Torn between both. Springers taught me to shoot but PCP's helped me pay the bills. Springers definitely teach you more about marksmanship. Quote Link to post
Coney 3
On my fourth PCP now and I cannot for the life of me see me going back to a springer however I think most people "cut their teeth" under a springer and I agree with Chris about them teaching you to shoot. Additionally I know lads who won't entertain a PCP and stick to springers and who can shoot better than most, so me thinks it's down to that old saying "personal preferance". PCP or springer I don't think it matters as you get equal amounts of pleasure from whatever you shoot, at the end of the day it's about getting out for a good mooch and hopefully coming home with something for the pot......well it is for me anyway and I can honestly say I've had just as much fun with a £50 quid rifle as I have had with a £1000 pound one. Happy hunting Coney. Quote Link to post
Edgar 1
Spring guns for me, don't want the hassle of charging up a PCP. Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
had both and pcp for me. better accuracy yes some people can shoot spring guns very well but overall most could shoot a pcp better. yes you do have to charge pcp but get a 12 ltr 300 bar bottle get it filled and it lasts along time. pcp will hold money better. and in fac form are very good better then springers. when springers are fac'd there recoil more so again harder to shoot as good i would say. but spring guns are cheap to get dont need charging and re flling. plus if you can master one then a pcp is a walk in the park Quote Link to post
stillair1 16
Use both. IF you can shoot a springer well, it will make you an even better shot with a pcp. Use a springer/ram to keep your shooting habits in check. Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
i use pcp....................but found my old 1970's springer , with open sights in the garage at the weekend..........................did a bit of plinking with it in the garden...........never had so much fun for ages...........makes you think about your shooting. last week i would of said PCP................but now............have both if you can!!!!!!!!!!!! all the best sean Quote Link to post
