For those that haven't gone but plan to tomorrow - don't bother, try & find something else to do. The day went as follows; 1 hour travelling time 2 1/2 hours queuing to get into parking. 1/2 hour queue to pay 20 min queue for a p155 40 min queue for a cheap overpriced burger A handful of stalls with overpriced gear (£35 for a pair of socks), add into that the uncontrolled dogs, uncontrolled kids, ignorant fashion conscious adults. All in all an absolutely carp day. Question - if you are a shooter, why would you stare & queue to see guns or shoot an air rifle? My answer - reckon that there is a lot of pretend country folk that attend these shows. If it's the best that Yorkshire has to offer then we're in serious bother. Just my rant. Time for bed. Strong Stuff 2,171 Posted May 26, 2008 Report Share Posted May 26, 2008 Thought much the same last year, haven't bothered with the bigger ones this year, get yourselves around the smaller local terrier and lurcher shows, not only are you giving much needed support to proper grass roots working dog lads but I guarantee you'll have a much better day out.
