Guest greengrass123
My beddy whippet brought me a squirrel to hand until it turned round and bit the dog, fatal mistake shook its head off and ragged it to bits after that. Ever heard a squirrel when they get carried live it squawked like a bloody banshee. Quote Link to post
dytkos 17,818
When I was a kid, Mother's cat used bring home, shrews, mice, rats, chicks, birds, baby rabbits and drop them all live in the house! Used to have a piano back then and the feckers all seemed to go under that! Quote Link to post

undisputed 1,664
My Beddie/Whippet lurcher is extremely softed mouthed........he brought in and placed on the settee completely unharmed..........this tiny mouse.......its eyes weren't even opened yet. Where he found it in the garden i don't know, and how he carried it without harming it i don't know either Nice one, my old bitch was handy at finding partridge chicks and retreiving live to hand. Used to train her to fetch hens eggs. Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
what ever the spaniel catches she always retrieves live. the down side to this is when she catches rats she brings them to me live. i take a step back and she'll follow me till i take it from her. Oh, f*cking brilliant! I 'know' a terrier whose Dam sort of 'knew' a spaniel ..... Damn thing ever starts bringing Me live rats? I'll use a .22 Hornet centrefire for despatch! Had Dogs retrieve some damn vile stuff in my time. Dead though, so I won't bother this Thread with it. Only thing is; The b*stards invariably want to take it to their favourite chewing spot - my bed! - to 'enjoy' it! Quote Link to post
