its sad to hear about such things happening but in working terriers every time you put one to ground you should wish them goodbye as such is the world of the working terrier a man that works them regular and hard will alway loose them no matter what time of the year at that depth the ground temp would not of changed much from winter every credit to you dev and the boys for lending a hand to a decent terrierman
