runforyourlife 361
Went and met a friend of mine who i bought my bullxgrey off on friday night. Bronco is 7 mths old, and only a month or so ago on here i was asking when he would start to work, as he just strolled about. He started chasing shortly afterwards, then really strated with nose down, flushing, bushing and generally performing. Went out with he on Wed night, saw 2 charlies and a deer, not very good for a dog learning the lamp. Any way up at my mates place, we headed out on to the moors, it was vast, with loads of running ground, My bull watched his uncle go down the lamp and do a few rabbits. It was now my dogs turn, there were 5 rabbits in the beam, he went straight down the beam, and murdered one of them!! I couldnt believe it, it was brill to watch!! He even came back! In all that evening he went 7 times, and caught 5, i am chuffed to bits for the lad.... He managed to watch a few other catches as well! So that will stand him in good stead, thanks for reading, had to write it down, as i am still buzzing on him. Cheers Russ Quote Link to post

ferretville 69
Great when they get there first what a buzz ,FV Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173
WEll done: it's great when a pup does that. Just be careful doing too much running while he's still growing though: bit heavy dogs like that need to be at least 18 months old before they are physically mature: too much too soon will damage his joints, especially his feet. lurchergrrl 1,441
Excellent Russ Would your mate mind a lass tagging along sometime? Hopefully we won't get our dogs confused Quote Link to post
tote 854
You have every right to be buzzing Russ, 5 out of 7 for a raw pup is fantastic. As skycat says take it easy with him as there is a chance of him damaging himself at such a young age. Sounds like he's going to be a good un. Quote Link to post
