A pieps box brought from else where runs on a different frequecy then the ones bought through BELLMAN AND FLINT :o

y re wrong b&f receive box is german PIEPS DSP which is runing on 457kHZ freq. is international freq. for avalanche receivers and transmiters, there re several firms, and they have to run on same freq. because alpinists use pieps from different firms. go on B&F web and find freg. and than go on mammut web and find freq. SAME, y can buy for 67pounds all accesories from B&F and than on ebay receiver box, i m gonna get whole B&F package for 220eur

B&F makes just collars, the receive box is german PIEPS DSP, they don t make any changes on receive box, it wont work properly if y use B&Fcollar and buy PIEPS DSP(same one that B&F sale by them self) on ebay? why? y have guarantee on on collar and on receiver too.

That's bollocks talk in fairness Burnie69 - he has to guarrantee the collars seperately - the UK trading standards would have a field day with him - can you imagine a car dealer saying the guarrantee on your car is void because you bought your seat covers from someone else :icon_eek:

The transmitter can not in any concievable way be affected by the receiver whatever make it is.

If you want to avoid the hassle just tell them that you bought a seperate collar for your dog and one of the other lads has a 'proper' box. Post here if he goes looking for a serial number and surely someone will PM.

We've gone over the reasons on here before why NOT to buy some of the other makes of box to use with the collar.

But I doubt the people at Pieps would release a box for sale for a terrier finder collar which has the EXACT same form factor, colour and decals as their avalanche finder product BUT the two are actually different

They would have to be identical - think about it - can you imagine the trouble they'd let themselves in for

I really think some lads on here have a vested interest in B&F?????????

I'm looking to buy this setup as well but just don't have the cash to throw away if there is a genuine cheaper option?
