Right ive prob got too much time on my hands today but i was just checking the stats for the transfer fee's for Chelsea and Man utd first 11 on the park last night and it makes for some interesting reading.....im not going to break it down to each induvidual player but if you want to check its right it wont be hard to find on the internet,Chelsea's first 11 on the park last night came to a grand old total of £113m and Man utd total came to £126m not including the tevez fee as the stats i used didnt come up with fee as he's still on loan.

So now you could argue....WHO REALLY DID BUY THE CUP :tongue2::laugh:

Think about this.

Man Utd and Chelsea top two clubs in England top two clubs in Europe.

10 England men on the park last night? and we cant qualify for the European Championships.

Was a time when a player played with pride for England and stood up to be counted.

All teams in the Premiership are buying Foreign, if you go down the order I think you'll find there's not one team without Foreigners in the squad. Yep Man Utd have brought a few in for Big bucks but nothing like what Chelsea have spent, I would say since the Russian guy came in and took the club over they brought Virtualy a entire new squad and more ...

At least Man U had a good few players on show from The British Isles weather home grown or not, Didn't see many in the Chelsea squad.....

without Rubbing it in lets not forget who walked away with the Cup last night! In my mind it was the team that didn't bottle it when it came to the crunch.... :tongue2:

Jasper

First off, congratulations Jasper and the rest of you MUFC fans..........the ultimate club trophy and over the season your club deserved it.

Alas, I will never watch my club compete in such a game, but felt a little pride that 4 of the English players on that pitch last night were a product of my clubs academy.

I dont agree that Chelsea bottled it last night Jasper, the game itself was too close to call.........MUFC bossed it 1st half and CFC bossed it the 2nd half.

Best players for me..........Scholes, Hargreves and Essien (2 nd half).

I knew Ronaldo was gonna try to make it the "Ronaldo Show" when he stepped up to take that pen, what a fecking twat.........I would have dug him out about that if I were in his team.

MU were dead and burried when Terry stepped up to take that pen, but fate played a hand and Van Der Sar did the rest...........thats football as they say.

Proper game and the two sets of fans can be proud of what there respective teams achived last night and in the season............anyone who says different dont know shit about the great game :victory:

Who thinks terry would of stood up and took a penalty in the same circumstances but for England? I seriously doubt he would of, Maybe if England paid him 130grand a week just as chelsea do he might of. Thats why we will have a shit summer with all this football on, they dont care about England, just the money!

Spot on skinny no players play with pride for their country now its all about money.

The rot started years ago though when Trevor Francis became the first million pound transfer.

Who the feck would that buy now?

Well done to Man Utd...it must be great to support possibly the greatest club europe has ever seen in my book.......personally i detest chelsea and think it would have been bad for football in general had they won.....as a neutral i enjoyed the game the other night...but one thing struck me as glaringly obvious, and thats the fact that what happened to possibly the best penalty taker on the park.....where was Ballack hiding when the pressure was on ? as far as im concerned he bottled it plain and simple and left poor john terry to take it on the chin which im sure he will do and come back as he seems a strong kid.

Utd were the better team on the night and would have been unlucky had they not won the game.....thankfully a great club with great history and tradition proved again they are the best in europe.
