Short ansewer is both, and if you've a mate with ferrets and nets all the better. With rabbits, less light is better. Don't go in with a massive searchlight, use enough light that you can see your target and it's backstop, that will enable you to shoot safely. They'll get flightly enough with time getting shot at, the idea is not to spook them too much as take out as many as you possibly can as soon as you can. You can also pick off a few at first and last light, that's if they're not out during the daytime too which they may well be. Ferrets could account for a good number as well if you know someone who's good with them.

Oh and can you please knock off the CAPS BUTTON, it makes posts very hard to read :)

I would go for a wander round at first light and get yer bearings. Find out where the rabbits are coming and going from.

This should hopefully give you an idea as to a good shooting position and general direction of approach.

You could try again another morning this time with your rifle and drop a few.

Once they start getting a little coy to your presence start lamping.

Firstly use filters and try limit the number of visits you go. The more you go with the lamp, filters or not the shyer the bunnies get.

In regards to big bags this all depends on your skill/ability to shoot and perform well.

Dont go raging in, Bide your time take what you can when you can and you will slowly make an impact.

Best of luck
