Rabbit Shooting

Alright everyone

 

Was just wondering an approx. range you guys shoot rabbits from, using a 12ft/lb airgun?

It all depends on how close you can stalk your target.

 

But anything over 40 yards is a bit of a gamble.

I agree with the above, upto 40. Fieldcraft is your best tool. Everyone tends to measure their skill by how far away they can hit things. I like to look at how close you can get.

I agree with good field craft and always go for 20 to 25 yards.

30/35 yards for me with a 12ft/lb rifle, can't see much past that range anyway!!

30/35 yds is comfortable................to get a clean kill.............................feildcraft is key!!!!

 

i love stalking in to 20/25 yds( if possible)........................bit more challenging...we dont want it to easy do we???????????????????

yep 30 35 yards . i think we have all tryed further but chance of a wound are greater due to not hitting the sweet spot .....

try targets if you can group pellets at 40 45 yards size of a small gog ball and feel your gun has power that range go for it . i have taken rabbits down at 45 yards max before and killed crow further but they were just flukes i think .....
