gwhite80 0
Sorry about this but.... I personally don't trap but have been interested in it for a while. I've read alot about different bait and it seems Peanut butter is a favourite but, and I know this is going to sound odd, Crunchy or Smooth? Is there a difference in success or is it one and the same? Once again I apologise but strange things bug me sometime's Quote Link to post

trappa 518
Theres no difference mate. I set mouse traps at a house last friday and had caught 1 mouse within an hour using peanut butter ( smooth!!!!) and 7 by the next morning. ( 9 by monday if your interested) Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Personally, I prefer Crunchy. Nothing esoteric about it; I simply feel it gives that little more oomph and reason for the creature to try at it. The bits give eye appeal and something to try and remove. My theory anyway. Rolfe 2
You might try doing what i do and this way it doesn't matter if it is smooth or crunchy..........mix a good handful of fresh peanuts into the peanut spread..........it works extemely well with the Kania trap for grey squirrels.
