Pregnant jill bleeding!

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

I've just checked my Jill and she is bleeding, she is due to give birth next weekend. Has anyone else experienced this? Have you any advice? I'm probably going to take her to the vet tomorrow.

Many Thanks

Andy

Id have to dis-agree there bob, one of my polecat jills, started bleeding and had a litter of six (1 dead) within a matter of hours, yet it was a week early by my dates,

if the jill and hob are left together longer than a day (mine are) then when do you take a date from, when paired, when seperated, or on sighting a mating?, this could be more of us making a mistake, than the ferret birthing early

if its a human error on dates then its nothing to worry about if its not human error ????????????????????

I think you can only guess a date if the ferrets are left together for more than a day or two , seeing the actual mating does help i suppose , but i always generally used up to the 44th day
