I am based right on the coast and we don't suffer too bad with crayfish down in the SW. If you are interested here is a really simple method we used as kids for catching shrimps and prawns. If you scaled it up and made them with a larger opening a imagine they would work well for crayfish also? 1 Quote Link to post

Greyman 28,130 Posted April 5, 2021 Report Share Posted April 5, 2021 Quick question, does the tempature have an effect on crays, I,ve not seen any sign of them but have been told they are in the canal I,m on so stuck the pot out this weekend but so far nothing, so was wondering if it’s just a bit to cold ?? Emptied my pond recently for a water change and there were two half grown signals in there .Probably came in on the weed I gather for the grass carp .
