used to be popular up north years ago.supposed to combine early pace and turning circle of whippet with speed for longer runs of greyhound.also to add height to the whippet.rated ideal on rabbits.could take a hare and big enough to give larger prey a mischief.

Very good cross if the right bloods been used.Very easy to enter very exciting to watch .The only negative is that to lenghen the working life of this type of dog your best p[icking which land to run it on.As they can be quite fragile especialy at the speeds they run at.

Certainly a dog for me i think they are an excellent cross...One i haven`t owned but will do soon enough seen many work and like the get up and grab approach cracking dogs i must admit :good:

Always had a few 'Hard Blood' whippets,...

They are great fun,...I REALY rate'em... ;);)

If one was to make a "BullXWhippet" or a "BullXGreyhound" cross...which dog should always be used as the sire...the "bulldog"...or the "Longdog"??? JAGDWERKS

allways use the bull on the greyhound or whippet bitch if u want to keep the hight

Turk, I always thought it was because the greyhound could carry the pups easier and also have larger litters. Why would the genetics be any different if you used a greyhound dog over a bull bitch ?
